A: Our team is highly skilled at serving children with a wide range of developmental delays (e.g., feeding/swallowing and other developmental delays, fine/gross motor skill development, visual perceptual skills, and pragmatics/social communication skills) and disabilities including, but not limited to, the following areas: Asperger’s, autism, Down’s Syndrome, learning disabilities, visual, hearing, and physical impairments, multiple disabilities, intellectual disabilities, etc.

7-Q: Will I receive a reminder phone call about my child’s evaluation or weekly appointments?

A:     Once an appointment is scheduled or if therapy/instructional services are recommended, then we are not obligated to call to remind parents of any appointments. We may email you for first three (3) appointments as a courtesy; however, we are not obliged to do so. Please confirm one (1) primary email address as it will be our primary means of communicating delayed openings or early closings due to an emergency or appointment changes with you.

8- Q: Will my child receive individual therapy all the time?

A: Although generally individual therapy is provided, depending on your child’s age and needs, your child’s provider may decide that s/he should participate in dyadic (i.e., 2-children) or small group therapy. Benefits of dyadic or small group – allows skill practice and learning with same or similar age peers, which is key.

9- Q:       How important is regular attendance?

A: Attendance is crucial for progress and to remain in our program. When child does not attend regularly, progress is slow, provider just sits, and time is wasted. Because of this and the demand for our services, repeated tardiness and absences, or violation of our attendance policy will result in a recommendation for decreased frequency (from twice to once weekly) or immediate termination of services. If termination is recommended, we will suggest that you contact your insurance carrier/Medicaid, national organizations (e.g., ASHA, AOTA), or state licensing boards for other qualified providers who offer more “flexible” scheduling.

10- Q:     Do you offer summer camp or special programs?

A: We offer year-round fun, enrichment programs for preschool and school-age children of all ages. CLICK HERE TO LEARN MORE!

11 Q: What if there is inclement weather on the day of my child’s appointment?

A: In the event of inclement weather, kindly note that our Center is a private organization and does not follow public, private, or charter schools or Federal Government closings/openings. If you have questions about our schedule during inclement, then please call our Center. In case of an emergency, we will email you. Please ensure that we always have current email address.

12- Q:       If I sign-in my child at the Front Desk, and I am told that I owe a balance (e.g., late cancellation or NO SHOW fees), do I have to pay at that time and before my child can receive his/her services?

A: Yes. Our policy is that payment of all balances and fees (e.g., late cancellation or NO SHOW fees) are due at the time services are rendered. All outstanding balances or fees must be paid when you sign-in your child and before your child receives services on that day or any subsequent days. If you cancel that day’s service(s) at that time, then because our staff has prepared and are present and ready, a late cancellation fee will be charged for the day’s schedule service as well.
